Change is (mostly) good! — September 2010
Welcome to the newest iteration of the Now You See it! graphics website.
Design-wise, I actually liked my previous website just fine. But it was created on a now defunct platform that was ironically called "Go Live." Go Live died when Adobe bought Macromedia and began to support Dreamweaver instead. Having just taught myself enough of Go Live to be a little dangerous, I then learned enough of Dreamweaver to be more than a little frustrated.
Now, with the help of Joomla! and Martijn van Tilborgh of Four Rivers Design, we have put together a (hopefully) very user friendly and clean website that showcases my work. I would be anxious to hear back from you to see how you like it (or not) or if there are glitches we need to fix. In this version I have included some designs that never made the cut, but were favorites of mine. I have also posted some of the nice things people have said about me and my designs and a little of my work history, too. And every once in awhile I will post something about a new project, or something that strikes me as worth mentioning, or some pointless and self-indulgent ramblings.
Along with all of the many changes in my life that have been healthy and good, I am amazed at how much I still love and respect my company name and logo...even after over 30 years. Like so many "perfect" things, neither of these were over-thought or over-worked. And through years, they are both still me. [In the interest of full disclosure, I did add the mouse to my logo in 1988.]
Someone who had been out of touch for many years wondered if I had changed much over time. Checking out the website and logo was proof enough that WHO I AM is really still intact.
Who I am continues to be the person who gets super-charged by fun projects and exciting, creative ideas. I am also still the committed professional whose number one goal is to take that idea that is in the back of your mind and present it to you graphically, creating the voilà moment that is the little bit Now You See it! magic.
Gratefully!
